For the past couple of seasons, it's been the 30th of March or so.
If you come to Japan on the last weekend of March or any time afterwards, you'll probably be right.

Does anyone have a tentative or definite starting date for the 2003 baseball season?
I am an American student who is very interested in Japanese culture and the country itself, and I was trying to plan a trip to Japan next year and hoped to catch a baseball game while there...wondering what dates I needed to look into.
