This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

The Chinatrust Whales center fielder Ji Jun-lin (using mainland China pinyin) recently re-upped with the team for US $6,500 per month. In 2005, Ji batted .286 with 3 home runs and 22 RBIs in 94 games. He stole 21 bases. Ji was also pretty good with the glove, posting a .984 fielding percentage with 11 assists.
Stars such as Xie Jia-xian will make US $9,000 per month after coming off a .284, 23 home run season. Meanwhile, Chen Chin-feng will play with the La New Bears and make $200,000 a year.
