1958 Cardinals vs. Korean All-Stars

Discussion in the Baseball Asia forum
1958 Cardinals vs. Korean All-Stars
Quick Japanese / Korea baseball history question. In 1958 the St. Louis Cardinals went on a tour of Japan. I have also found information that they played a Korean all-star team in 1958, and have seen a picture of the then-Korean president in the crowd and a caption that says St. Louis Cardinals. I'm trying to find out if this happend in Korea, or if it was Japan.

Any help clearing this up and any information that can be provided would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I just heard from Pro Yakyu historian Rob Fitts that, according to the Pacific Stars and Stripes, the Cardinals played in Seoul in front of 30,000 fans on October 21, 1958.

Thanks, Rob, for the quick response.
