This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

I always liked Alex since I first saw him in Class AA in 1994. He always was a good citizen wherever he went, and he stayed away from the steroids (must have been good parenting since his dad is a physician).
I thought the Mets' fans treated him (and plenty of others) terribly.
I'm glad he ended his career as a player on a good note in Hiroshima and didn't become one of those embittered guys who hang on too long and get shown the door. His baseball legacy may just be beginning.
