This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Tazawa is a 22 year old, 5'11 178 pound pitcher, and supposedly tops out on 97-98 who was drafted by the Orix Buffaloes but turned them down to play in the industrial leagues. He, according to this Sponichi article, plays for the Nippon Oil ENEOS Industrial team. Red Sox scout, Jon Deeble, has reportedly been given the green light by Boston GM Theo Epstein to try and sign the righty. This page [ENEOS - in Japanese] gives some insight into him.
Also, there are no rules prohibiting industrial league players from signing with a MLB team if I understand correctly. This is a story I would like to pay more attention to and is the type of scouting I like by MLB teams.
