Iguchi to MLB?

Discussion in the Rumor Mill forum
Iguchi to MLB?
There were a number of reports last year that Tadahito Iguchi might be the next impact player to come over to the States. I see that he's had another very good year. So, has there been any further news about his future?

Iguchi asked the Hawks to put him on the same bidding system used by Ichiro Suzuki. [Link - Daily Yomiuri]

From the Yomiuri paper:

Daiei second baseman Tadahito Iguchi has stated his desire to go to the major leagues, asking the team to put him up for bidding in the same process Ichiro Suzuki used to make the jump.

Iguchi was born in 1974. His stats were:

2004: 124 games, .333, 24 HR, 89 RBI, 18 SB
2003: 135 games, .340, 27 HR, 109 RBI, 42 SB
2002: 114 games, .259, 18 HR, 53 RBI, 21 SB

It looks like Iguchi is at his best at the moment. So if an MLB team is looking for a decent second baseman, go ahead.
