Looking for a Shortstop
Barry Larkin is retiring. Is there perhaps a good shortstop that can be the Reds' shortstop of the future?

A word of advice: Don't think of Japanese players as long term answers because they've got to spend 8-9 years in the Japanese system once they start. If they go in right out of high school, they're 26 or so, but otherwise they're apt to be pushing for over 30 before they get to the majors.

The Uni-President Lions of the CPBL has a rookie shortstop named S. Yang. He bats left handed and was an excellent leadoff batter in high school. He has good speed (getting lots of infield hits) and plays good defence. With a few years in the minors he might become the next Ichiro. You might want to consider him.
