Michihiro Ogasawara in MLB?

Michihiro Ogasawara in MLB?
The WBC is the first time I have seen Ogasawara play, and I think he's pretty impressive. What are the chances of him coming over to the States?

Ogasawara qualifies for free agency this summer if I'm not mistaken. Though I see him staying in Japan. I haven't heard Ogasawara talk about any desire to play in the majors.

I would be really surprised if Ogasawara went over to the MLB. He's two days younger than Ichiro, but since he started in the industrial leagues, he got a late start to the NPB, so he'll be 33 in the 2007 season, which is a bit on the wrong side of 30 to be starting. Plus, every batting coach on this side of the Pacific would want to mess with his swing, not having any clue how he hits, and it'd be a disaster.

Besides, given how important he is to the Fighters, I can't imagine they won't do their absolute best to re-sign him. Shinjo may be the face of the Fighters, but Ogasawara's the heart.
