Van Hekken, Figueroa in CPBL
The Makoto Cobras have signed 28 year old right handed pitcher Andy Van Hekken. This season with the Somerset Patriots of the independent Atlantic League Van Hekken was 9-3 with a 3.12 ERA in 18 games. To make room for Van Hekken the Cobras released third baseman Ivanon Coffie (.260, 11 HRs, 33 RBIs in 40 games).

The President Lions have inked righty Nelson Figueroa. The 33 year old was 8-6 with a 3.87 ERA in 19 games for Dorados de Chihuahua of the Triple-A Mexican League this season. The Lions released Wayne Franklin (1-2, 4.63 ERA in 7 games).
