CPBL Opening Day
The March 2, 2003 Taipei Times [Link]reports on the opening day ceremonies and first game of the 2003 CPBL season. The article mentions that the Taipei Dome will open in 2005. The current Tienmu Stadium was filled to capacity with 10,000 fans. This was the first game of the newly merged Chinese Professional Baseball League and Taiwan Major League.

As much as I love CPBL, when Nakagomi Shin is the opening day starter of the defending champions...

Well, hopefully the level of play will improve after the merger.
