Masato Yoshii

Discussion in the Nichi-Bei forum
Masato Yoshii
Masato Yoshii has been resigned by the Montreal Expos. The Expos are a team that might be contracted, or eliminated, next year. This shows you how good Yoshii is.

It really is too bad that Yoshii's career has gone South (or I guess it should be North since he'll be in Quebec once again). His career in the Majors looked very promising when he debuted in '98 and then he had a very solid year in '99, only to be rewarded with a trade to Colorado, the worst possible place for a pitcher to play. After going to the Rockies, Yoshii's carrer went au revoir. Poor guy. Maybe it's time to lose the goofy facial hair.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
