Komiyama's Japan Stats

Discussion in the Nichi-Bei forum
Komiyama's Japan Stats
Since Komi-chan is heading to the Mets next season, the requests for his cumulative stats have started pouring in. OK, so I'd gotten one request by e-mail. But I do expect more people hitting this site from search engines between now and spring training looking for more information on Komiyama.

So, before the flood gates open, here are his career statistics:

Note for those of you who don't follow Japanese baseball: "LO" for the team is the "Lotte Orions." That was the name of the Chiba Lotte Marines (CLM) before they moved from Kawasaki across the bay to Chiba.

I forgot to site my source for the above data. Bad, Michael, bad.

Source: 2002 Baseball Record Book, ISBN 4-583-03677-9 C2075, Baseball Magazine Sha.

It's pretty much a given that, unless otherwise stated, most of the information I write is based on what I read in Nikkan Sports, Shukan Baseball, or the latest Baseball Magazine Sha Record Book.

Thanks for the info. Didn't Komiyama play for the Marines in 99 though, not the Baystars?

Yes, you're right! That was my typo, not the Record Book's.

I've updated the CSV file to reflect the correction.

This is what I like about publishing the stats I type up, someone can always find my mistakes. Thank you again.
