Junichi Tazawa Conquers the Yankees
Today's NY - Boston game was a rout for the Red Sox, 14 - 1 over the Yankees. Pitcher Junichi Tazawa was impressive in his second outing vs. the Bronx Bombers. Here's what Tyler Kepner, in today's NY Times (August 22) had to say:
Tazawa kept them guessing, 15 days after allowing a game-ending homer to Alex Rodriguez in his major league debut at Yankee Stadium. The Yankees collected eight hits and two walks off Tazawa, who worked well with catcher Jason Varitek and improved to 2-2.

"My pitching coach advised me to take the catcher's lead," Tazawa said through an interpreter. "I knew I couldn't shut them all down today, so I just took the catcher's lead."
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
