This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. But it was Junichi Tazawa's debut in the Bronx that made the biggest noise (the third Japanese Red Sox pitcher of the night, after Okajima and Saito!). He looked sharp with a nifty change-up -- the first batter he faced was Hideki Matsui who flied out -- but unfortunately Alex Rodriguez tagged Tazawa for a dramatic two-run sayonara homer in the bottom of the 15th. A tough situation for a rookie, but I thought he demonstrated a lot of poise, and I'm looking forward to seeing more of him again soon.
