NPB to MLB Insight Needed

NPB to MLB Insight Needed
Hey guys,

One of my friends is running a new website called www.dobberbaseball.com. He has been commenting on some Japanese and other Asian stars coming to the MLB, but few of us have much insight on how they can translate.

If any of you would like to come over and jump on the forum and let us know what you know about guys like Tazawa and others, it would be awesome. We would love the help.

Much of the advice you seek has already been written about extensively by Patrick Newman (aka PLNara) on NPB Tracker.

Also to add on what Michael said about the great site, East Windup Chronicle has highlighted Kawakami and Uehara using the Chone projections for them both.

Disclamer: Me, myself, and I don't understand the how the Chone projections work, so I'm afraid I can't help you with that. But if you want an idea of how they might translate, that blog post might help you.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
