This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.

Boothe is a 6'2, 210 lb right hander. According to the story, Boothe was pursued by as many as 5 NPB teams in the recent NPB draft. I'm a little shocked that some NPB team didn't take a flier on Boothe. According to the story, he was a member of the All-Japan College Team that played in Holland this past summer.
The Dodgers showed significant interest in Boothe, from what article the speculates. Here's some quotes talking about Boothe: - Dodgers' GM Ned Colletti - Dodgers' Assistant General Manager of Scouting, Logan White
