Matsui Homers on first pitch of MLB Career!
Huge Mets fan here. Just wanted to let you know that Kaz homered on the first pitch he saw here in the regular MLB season. He hit it to dead center off of 21-game winner Russ Ortiz.

Matsui also doubled twice, walked twice (once intentionally), and had 3 RBI. So far, in North America, he is 3-3, 1 HR, 2 2B, 3 RBI, 2 BB, 1.000 Avg., 1.000 OBP.

It travelled 429 feet. As a Met fan, it was one of my most memorable moments.

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.
