Iwamura Placed on 15 Day DL
Devil Rays third baseman Akinori Iwamura [MLB.com] was placed on the 15 Day DL [MLB.com] today (April 24th) by the Devil Rays. Iwamura could miss 4-6 weeks with an strained oblique.

This comes when Iwamura was red-hot, batting .339/.479/.482 with 1 HR and 5 RBI in 18 games and 56 ABs.

What a shame. He was off to such a great start. Hopefully he heals quickly and well and can pick up where he left off.
