Carp Legend Kenjiro Nomura in Camp with Royals
As he did last year, former Carp great Kenjiro Nomura is with the KC Royals in Surprise, Arizona right now studying American baseball. He can be seen during Royals' spring training games in the Royals' dugouot wearing a Royals batting practice jersey with "NOMURA #7" on his back. The Royals have two #7s right now - Nomura and rookie phenom Alex Gordon.

Nomura attends the Royals' spring training camp every year at the invitation of the assistant GM of the Royals, Luis Medina, a former teammate of Nomura's on the Carp (1993-'95).
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
