Will We Ever See a Japanese Manager in MLB?

Will We Ever See a Japanese Manager in MLB?
Do you ever think there will be a day when an NPB player who moved to MLB during his career will ever get a chance to manage an MLB team? For example, after Ichiro or Hideki Matsui retire, maybe perhaps an MLB team might call upon their services for managing?

The language issue might come up, but I hear that former NPB/MLB pitcher Shigetoshi Hasegawa speaks pretty good English, so maybe he might be considered for a bullpen or pitching coach?

Hasegawa was in the press box at tonight's Mariners game, actually -- I think they said he was covering it for NHK? They showed him up on the big screen with the note "Welcome Shiggy!" and everyone applauded. Sounds like a good gig for him for now. I wouldn't rule out the possibility that he'd make an excellent coach in the future, though.

Yeah Shiggy's a clever guy with a wicked sense of humour, I wouldn't mind seeing him as a manager. He'll probably have to prove himself in the minors or NPB first..

Hasegawa is a candidate I see as a coach or manager, as Hasegawa speaks very good English from what I hear. Also, Johjima has really progressed very good so far with his English.
