Matsui
How do you think Matsui will do in MLB? As good or better than Ichiro? Will he start off as quickly as Ichiro did?

Lots of speculation about that in other threads on this forum, but on TV last night, the man himself (monster itself? He's "Godzilla" after all ) said that his only hope for the first part of the season is that his knees don't shake when he stands at the plate.

He's a new kind of player in MLB: a Japanese slugger has never played there. Don't expect big numbers in April, but I think come June he will be a presence for the Yankees and the feared Godzilla for MLB foes!

Having been a big Yankee fan, I was disappointed when they did not even make an attempt at signing Ichiro. But now my dream has come true. "Godzilla," the most popular player in Japan, will be playing in my back yard.

I have alread bought tickets to 8 games. A fan club has been formed so that they can go support him at the home games. I am trying to become a member.
