Petagine Returning to Japan?

Discussion in the Nichi-Bei forum
Petagine Returning to Japan?
Apparently Petagine was excused from the Red Sox "to tend to a personal matter" on September 30, 2005. He only had a one year contract, so I guess that's it for him in Boston.

If, in fact, he does consider returning to Japan a possibility, if Rakuten doesn't get Kiyohara, then I'm sure Petagine would have a home with the Eagles. But I'm sure there still has to be some doubts about his knee that he had surgically repaired. But I'm sure Mikitani would love to have a player who's hit 200+ HR's on his team.
