Former Hyundai Unicorns players might have felt relieved when Centennial Investment finally purchased the team. But it's doubtful they have the same emotion now, as the eighth baseball club in the league is elaborating on drastic pay cuts for its players.

All I can say to this is that it looks like everyone probably wishes that the owners' greed hadn't driven Korea Telecom away.

In fact, after the backlash from the KT deal, it looks like the KBO has taken to holding secret meetings and changing the rules without any consultation involving the players. I suppose that the other owners are watching this and thinking that maybe they can reduce salaries in a similar fashion in the near future, so they aren't going to step in and stop this madness.

It looks to me like Centennial is made up of scam artists. They've found a way to promote their client in professional sports on the cheap, while they can take in tolls for playing middle-man.
