Wes Obermueller returns to Asia with Lions
32 year old right handed pitcher Wes Obermueller has returned to Asia - this time with the Samsung Lions. In 2007 Obermueller was 4-1 with a 4.55 ERA in 11 games for the Albuquerque Isotopes of the Triple-A Pacific Coast League. He also appeared in 18 games at the Major League level with the Florida Marlins, going 2-3 with a 6.56 ERA.

In 2006 Obermueller pitched for the Orix Buffaloes in Japan, going 1-6 with a 5.31 ERA in 14 outings.

Obermueller isn't overpowering but boasts a good slider.
About

This is a site about Pro Yakyu (Japanese Baseball), not about who the next player to go over to MLB is. It's a community of Pro Yakyu fans who have come together to share their knowledge and opinions with the world. It's a place to follow teams and individuals playing baseball in Japan (and Asia), and to learn about Japanese (and Asian) culture through baseball.

It is my sincere hope that once you learn a bit about what we're about here that you will join the community of contributors.
