Daniel Rios Wins 20th Game
In Daniel Rios, the first pitcher to win 20 games in the 21st century, flows the blood of the baseball power of Cuba. His parents were both born in Cuba. But his hometown is in Madrid, Spain. When he was two he immigrated to the United States. Rios graduated from university in Florida in 1993 and joined the New York Yankees’ rookie league, and realized his dream in the Yankee pinstripes when he was called up in 1997. He still keeps that Yankee uniform and is proud of it.
