KBO Standings and Highlights (week of May 25, 2003)
The May 28, 2003 Korea Times [Link reports on Tuesday's KBO games.

Samsung Lions 8 - Doosan Bears 2:
Lim Chang-yong (7-0) was backed up by 14 hits while yielding only two runs and nine hits in eight innings of work to give the first place Lions the victory over the last place Bears in Taegu.

LG Twins 8 - SK Wyverns 2:
Lee Seung-ho struck out six batters giving up only one run, two hits, and walking three batters in 6 1/3 innings to beat the Wyverns in Chamsil.

Hyundai Unicorns 12 - Kia Tigers 10:
Shim Jong-soo drove in the ninth inning game winning runs on a three run homer to overcome a nine-run Tigers' lead in Suwon. Kim Dong-soo blasted home runs in consecutive at-bats and Lee Soong-yong added a homer for Hyundai. Unicorns' pitcher Chong Min-tae gave up six runs in his first 2/3 inning, but the rally kept his two-year 15 game winning streak alive.

Lotte Giants 5 - Hanwha Eagles 4:
Mario Encarnacion and Shin Myung-chul launched home runs to lift the Giants to victory despite a four run Eagles' rally in the ninth inning in Pusan.

The May 29, 2003 Korea Times [Link] highlights Wednesday's KBO action.

Doosan Bears 9 - Samsung Lions 8:
Former NPB journyman Satoshi Iriki gave up three runs in the ninth inning, but was able to pick up the win for the last place Bears in Taegu. Lee Seung-yeop hit a couple of two-run homers for the first place Lions. Samsung left a total of 19 runners on base.

SK Wyverns 4 - LG Twins 2:
Ahn Jae-man blasted a fifth-inning home run and Park Kyung-wan drove in the winning run with a triple to beat the Twins in Chamsil. Jung Dae-hyun was the winning pitcher and Cho Ung-chun picked up his 14th save. Choi Won-ho took the loss.

Hyundai Unicorns 9 - Kia Tigers 3:
Former BayStar Shane Bowers yielded only two runs and four hits in seven innings to defeat the Tigers in Suwon. Former Nippon Ham Figher Micah Franklin launched a two-run homer and two doubles to lead the Unicorns.

Hanwha Eagles 5 - Lotte Giants 3:
Jung Min-chul (6-2) struck out nine batters giving up only one run and two hits in seven innings to overcome the Tigers in Puson. Han Sang-hoon singled in two runs in the seventh inning for the Eagles.

The May 30, 2003 Korea Times [Link] reports on Thursday's KBO games.

Samsung Lions 4 - Doosan Bears 2:
Ma Hae-young hit a solo home run and two RBI singles to defeat the Bears in Taegu. Kim Hyun-wook pitched two relief innings for the win and Noh Jang-jin notched his ninth save.

LG Twins 7 - SK Wyverns 0:
