Cleveland Indians sign KBO pitcher Choi
The Cleveland Indians have signed 35 year old Kia Tigers' right handed hurler Choi Hyang-nam to a one year contract worth $100,000. The Indians have invited him to spring training, but he's probably going to begin the year with the Triple A Buffalo Bisons.

Choi is only the third player from the Korea Baseball Organization to sign in the Major Leagues following Lee Sang-hoon, who moved from the LG Twins to the Boston Red Sox in 2000, and Koo Dae-sung, who moved from the Hanwha Eagles to the New York Mets this season.

In 2005, Choi posted a 2-5 mark with one save in 12 GP (41.2 IP). He had a 4.10 ERA. Injury problems have derailed most of his career but, in 11 seasons, Choi is 44-49 with 6 saves and a 3.91 ERA in 182 GP.

- Koo Dae-sung, who moved from the Hanwha Eagles to the New York Mets this season.

Dae-Sung Koo moved from the Eagles to the Orix BlueWave. Then declared that he wanted to go to the majors in 2004.
