トリが走った！ 阪神鳥谷敬内野手（２６）が、初盗塁を決めた。初回に内野安打で出塁すると、続く新井の初球にスタート。盗塁を決め、相手捕手の悪送球で三塁まで進んだ。「サインが出たときには、なるべく高い確率でセーフになりたいんで」。ベンチからの指示に確実に反応した。
