ダルビッシュと婚約中の女優サエコは、三塁側スタンドから声援を送った。妊娠中でもあり、クライマックスシリーズは体調不良のため観戦を取りやめていた。８回、堂上剛の打球が左足を直撃した場面では、口元を押さえて心配そうな表情が映し出された。「びっくりしましたけど、最後まで投げたので大丈夫だと思う。かっこよかった」と笑顔だった。大舞台での快投に「ほれ直した？ はい。そうですね」と顔を赤らめていた。一方のダルビッシュはお立ち台で「力になりました。いつも（観戦場所を）見つけられなくて、一応把握しないとなって思います」と照れまくりだった。
