タケシの激走が、チームを最下位転落の危機から救った。同点の９回１死満塁。楽天山崎武が２球目をたたいた打球は、中前に抜けようかという遊ゴロ。併殺を防ごうと、一塁へ全力ダッシュし、ベースを駆け抜けると、激しく転倒。セーフの判定を聞くと、そのままうつぶせになって体の力が抜けた。サヨナラのヒーローは、その巨体をナインに担ぎ上げられて「殿様」になった。
