巨人が負けられない試合を総力戦で勝った。同点の９回２死一、二塁のサヨナラ負けのピンチに、原監督は「勝つために」と守護神上原浩治投手（３２）を投入。上原が切り抜けて流れを変えた。１０回に横浜クルーンを攻略し、同一カード３連敗を逃れた。先発予定の金刃が試合前に突然回避する非常事態だったが、総力で激闘を制し中日とのゲーム差も２に広げた。明日から、ヤマ場の中日、阪神６連戦に臨む。
