「オレ抹消」が、いきなり当たった。この日、自ら２度目となる登録抹消に踏み切ったヤクルト古田兼任監督。代わりに今季初昇格させたユウイチを「６番一塁」で先発起用すると、プロ初の満塁弾を含む４の４、６打点の大暴れ。ふがいない試合が続いたチームに、見事なカンフル剤となった。古田兼任監督は「やってくれたね。まさかというと怒られるけど、怖いぐらい」と上機嫌に振り返った。
