オリックス・ローズがまた打った。５－５で同点の７回。３３号弾は両軍合わせて２９安打の打ち合いにケリをつける決勝ソロだ。西武岩崎の外角スライダーを左翼席へ流し打った。「１－４からの逆転勝ち。すごく大きい１勝だよ」。これで本塁打はトップの山崎武まであと２。打点も７５に伸ばしトップをキープした。近づいてきた９９年近鉄時代以来８年ぶり２冠の夢だけでなく、大逆転の３位圏内へ、４番が打ちまくる。
