１１安打９得点とトラ祭りの打線を引っ張ったのは１番鳥谷だ。３回に左前打で逆転劇をおぜん立てし、５回には適時三塁打、さらに６回には「ＪＦＫ休養」を決定づける５号２ランを右翼席に運んだ。これで５カード連続の勝ち越しで、貯金は再び「１」。あと二塁打でサイクル安打に王手をかけていた８回の最終打席では見逃し三振したが、ご愛嬌（あいきょう）。「それはまあ、エヘッ。積極的に打ちにいったのが、いい結果につながった」と猛打賞で勝利がついてくれば、それで十分だった。
