阪神の代打狩野が殊勲の勝ち越し打を放った。５－５同点の９回１死二塁で登場。中日岩瀬の初球１２９キロスライダーをたたく中越えの適時二塁打。「岩瀬さんは球界きってのストッパー。名前負けだけしないようにと打席に入りました」。阪神が岩瀬に黒星をつけたのは６年ぶりとなったが「知りませんでした。ボクが出るようになったのは今年からですから」と振り返った。
