オリックス・ローズの怒りが爆発した。今季２度目の退場で、自身が持つプロ野球記録を更新する通算１１度目の退場（暴行５、暴言６）となった。今季は両リーグ合わせて延べ１５人が退場になっているが、オリックスはローズの２度を筆頭にコリンズ監督、ディーバス打撃コーチ、ラロッカ、デイビーと外国人勢が退場処分。３人の退場者を出した大乱闘劇は、まさに武闘派集団の本領？ 発揮だった。ローズは無言を貫き、コリンズ監督も「里崎が何か言ったんじゃないか」と言葉少なだった。
