西武が最下位オリックスに痛い連敗を喫した。帆足が６回に突然つかまり、ローズに痛恨の逆転２ランを浴びた。代わった小野寺も四球と連打で点差を広げられ、あっけなく試合の流れを失った。３連勝後の２連敗で再び貯金０の５割に逆戻り。伊東監督は「負けりゃそうなる。次の３連戦は最低限勝ち越して後半につなげたい」と、前半戦最終カードの１６日からの楽天３連戦（仙台）に向けて危機感を強めた。
