西武中島が劇的な逆転満塁アーチでチームの窮地を救った。１点を追う７回２死満塁。高め速球をフルスイングすると、打球はセンターバックスクリーンへ飛び込んで弾んだ。「強い打球、逆転するような打球を打とうと思った。ほんま気持ちよかった」。連敗を２で止め、勝率５割にも復帰。すべてを呼んだ通算３本目のグランドスラムに声も弾んだ。照れ屋な男は、お立ち台でちょうネクタイをつけて、ファンの歓声に応えた。
