上位を狙う西武にスターターが１人、帰ってきた。左肩痛で出遅れていた帆足が昨年７月１日以来、ちょうど１年ぶりの復活勝利。ビクトリーロードを上がり切ると開口一番、「長かったですね」と息を吐き出した。７回１死、礒部を二ゴロに抑えたところで、お役御免。５安打１失点と楽天の拙攻にも助けられたが、ブランクを感じさせなかった。「真っすぐ、カーブに頼っていたんで、シュートを多めに使ってそれが有効でした」と振り返り、広いゾーンで勝負した。
