白球を追える喜びを全身で体現した。４年目の阪神坂がプロ初安打を先制ソロ本塁打で決めた。横浜戦の３回１死。寺原の１５０キロ内角直球を引っ張り、右翼席最前列へ運んだ。「無我夢中でボールに食らいつきました。うまく体が回ってくれた。打球を見失ったんですが、お客さんの歓声で分かりました。うれしかったです」。プロ１０打席目での初打点でもあった。
