阪神金本が巨人時代の松井に並ぶ、歴代２位タイとなる１２５０試合連続出場を果たした。無安打ながら、４回に四球を選んで今岡の決勝打につなげるなど勝利に貢献。もっとも金本は「１２５０試合？ 知るか！ 誰が数えたんや、そんなん」。欲するものは勝利のみだ。
