西武涌井でも勝てなかった。５連敗で交流戦の成績は２勝９敗。ここまで交流戦で２勝を挙げていた頼みの涌井が５回１／３を６失点で降板。「連敗をストップさせようと思ったのですが力が入ってしまいました」と力なくコメントするしかなかった。伊東監督は５回の守備で中島、涌井と２つの失策が重なった点を指摘。「細かいミスが出た。打席で打てなかったことを守備にも引きずっている」と話した。打線は最終回にカブレラの１１号ソロで一矢報いたが、４安打と不調から抜け出せない。伊東監督は「相手は全力疾走で戦っている。今のうちに欠けているところ。できることからやらないと」と、出直しを誓っていた。
