シンジラレナ～イ！記録ラッシュだ。日本ハムが２年連続３度目の球団タイとなる１１連勝、交流戦タイとなる９連勝を飾った。トレイ・ヒルマン監督（４４）の絶妙な継投策で阪神に完封で快勝。来日５年目で、外国人監督３人目となる通算３００勝を達成した。今季は小笠原（巨人）が抜けるなど戦力が大幅ダウンしたが、若手登用、積極策などの名采配でカバー。昨季の４４年ぶり日本一の勢いが戻ってきた。
