先発の平野佳が虎打線を７回５安打無失点に抑え３勝目を挙げた。「去年悔しい思いをしたので何としても勝ちたかった」。昨年阪神戦はクリーンアップにここ一番で痛打を浴びて２戦２敗。その教訓を生かしてこの日はシーツ、金本、今岡の３人に丁寧かつ気迫の投球で９の１に封じ、勝利を引き寄せた。これでチームは０１年以来６年ぶりの６連勝。借金は１１あるが、平野佳は「全然あきらめてない。交流戦に優勝して借りを返したい」と反攻を誓った。
