「ハマのおじさん」が復活した。横浜工藤公康投手（４４）が、古巣西武戦で移籍初勝利を挙げた。今季５度目の先発で６回を４安打無失点に抑え、チームの連敗を８でストップさせた。０６年５月３日の阪神戦以来の白星は、歴代単独１５位の通算２１６勝目。２３年連続勝利は米田哲也（近鉄）が持つ２２年を抜いて新記録だ。また４４歳勝利は工藤自身が持つセ・リーグ最高齢勝利を更新。記録ずくめの１勝となった。
