阪神シーツが復調を告げる３号本塁打を放った。１回に２点を先制してなお２死一塁の場面で、グライシンガーのチェンジアップをとらえて左翼席に２ランを運んだ。「早い回に得点できてよかった。きょうはブルペンを休ませてあげたいからね」。抑えリレーのＪＦＫが４連投と登板過多なだけに、４月２８日広島戦以来の１発で点差を広げて満足そうだった。
