ソフトバンク新垣が今季最短４回１／３、７失点で降板した。７四球に２暴投と自滅を重ねた末の黒星。敗戦の責任を抱え込んだ右腕は「真っすぐとスライダーしか放ってなかったんですが…。暴投？ 帰ってから何が悪いのか（首脳陣と）話し合います」。これで暴投は今季１３。６１年にＪ・スタンカが記録した球団記録（１２個）を４６年ぶりに更新する不名誉な日となってしまった。
