６回に代打葛城の１号ソロで勝ち越した阪神は、ＪＦＫリレーで逃げ切りをはかった。だが８回途中から登板した藤川が９回に谷、二岡にタイムリーを打たれ逆転されてしまった。必勝パターンが崩れ、阪神はショッキングな敗戦。７年ぶりの９連敗を喫した。
