ソフトバンク小久保のひと振りで連敗を３で止めた。初回に立ち上がり制球を乱したダルビッシュから安打と２四球で満塁。松中のときに暴投で１点。松中倒れ１死二、三塁で小久保。２ー２からの６球目直球をとらえ、ライナーで左翼席へ放り込む７号３ラン。その後立ち直ったダルビッシュからわずか２安打しか奪えなかっただけに値千金の１発となった。１５日のオリックス戦で痛恨のタイムリーエラー。３点リードの勝ちゲームを引き分けた。「そのことだけ頭にあった。初回のチャンスにつけ込めてよかった」と小久保が有限実行で連敗にあえぐチームを救った。
