オリックスのテリー・コリンズ監督（５７）が８日の西武戦（スカイマーク）で、今季両方リーグ通じて初の退場処分を受けた。１－０の７回１死一、三塁の場面で、デイビーが三塁の白井塁審からボークの判定を受けたが、その時点ですで、すでにボールを投げており「空中にボールがあるときにボークは宣言できないはず。なぜプレーを止めたのか!?」と猛抗議。最後は東球審に暴言をはき、退場処分を受けた。試合は５分間の中断をはさんで再開。大石大二郎ヘッドコーチ（４８）が代理監督として指揮を執ったが、７、９回に２点ずつを失い、逆転負けした。
